CONSTRUCTING THE BIOGRAPHY OF A CHARACTER WORKSHOP BY ELISEO ALTUNAGA

Monday, January 28, 2019

Renowned scriptwriter, Eliseo Altunaga, one of the leading figures of contemporary Iberoamerican cinema, will teach a seminar on “Constructing the Biography of a Character” at IFF Panama’s Eighth Edition, as part of the educational activities of the Festival’s Industry Program.

Synopsis: The role of the character as an essential component of the narrative in a story

For the workshop the participants must bring a potential project on which they will address the topic of constructing the characters in a story from different points of views, including the physical, the world of the characters and their psychology.

The outcome of the workshop should be a biography and the profile of the characters, a tool to be used in the construction of the actions and dialogue in a narrative.

“At IFF Panama we feel proud to have the presence of a master once again. Eliseo will come to the festival to share his talent and experience of storytelling. This will contribute greatly to the development of our industry”, said Pituka Ortega Heilbron, IFF Panama’s Executive Director.
