Eduardo Noriega, Nuestros amantes

Like in previous editions, the International Film Festival of Panama will count with the participation of outstanding representatives of the film industry. Between March 30 and April 5, IFF Panama’s guests will interact with the audience through a series of Q&As, seminars, workshops and panels. Also, they will grace the red carpet and share their experience with the local and international press.

 

Eduardo Noriega and Our Lovers

Among the attractive list of talent hailing from several countries in the region and the world is Eduardo Noriega. The spanish actor who began his career by participating in the film Tesis obtained his first starring role in Abre los ojos, where he obtained his first nomination to the Goya awards for Best lead actor category.

Noriega will participate in one special presentation: Our Lovers (Saturday, April 1st at 9:00 p.m. at the Balboa Theater).

 

Special presentation of dancer Miguel Ángel Berna precedes La Jota, by Saura

Another special guest is the dancer and choreographer of La Jota, Miguel Angel Berna. Berna has been practicing the jota, a waltz-like castanet dance, since he was eight years old. 

Berna, the dance’s greatest exponent alive, will be present at the opening gala of the sixth edition where this film directed by Carlos Saura will be presented (Thursday, March 30 at 8:00 pm at the Balboa Theater and Friday, 8:00 pm at the Mirador del Pacifico-Cinta Costera II).

 

Kleber Mendonça and Emilie Lesclaux:

Kleber Mendonça directed Sonia Braga on her return to the big screen on Aquarius, a film produced by Emilie Lesclaux. Both will participate in the two projections of this film (Friday March 31 in room 8 of Cinépolis Multiplaza at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday 2 April at 4:30 p.m. at the Balboa Theater).

Mendonça's films have received more than 120 awards in Brazil and major festivals such as Cannes (Quinzaine des réalisateurs), Copenhagen and New York.


Fernando Guzzoni, dir. Jesús

 

Fernando Guzzoni and Giancarlo Nasi: 

Director Fernando Guzzoni and producer Giancarlo Nasi of the controversial Chilean film Jesus will be at the sixth edition for the two presentations of the film.

Both screenings will be at Cinépolis Multiplaza (April 3 at 9:00 p.m. in room 5 and 4 April at 8:00 p.m. room 8).

 

Elisa Paloschi, the photography and direction of documentaries: 

With more than 20 years of experience in documentary production, Elisa Paloschi, director of Driving with Selvi, is also confirmed to attend the special screening of her film (Sunday, April 2 at 7:00 pm at the Anita Villalaz Theater).
