Synopsis: 
During the cold war in the 1950s, in Stalinist Poland and Bohemian Paris, a musician and a young singer fall in love amidst the difficulties of the time.

His filmography includes the documentaries From Moscow to Pietushki (1990), Dostoevsky’s Travels (1991), and the features Last Resort (2000), My Summer of Love (2004); and Ida (2013), awarded the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
