Synopsis: 
Liberian activist Silas Siakor is a tireless crusader against illegal logging and corruption. Through the glimpse of a small country - Silas warns of the power of politics, and features the role of technology in our rapidly-changing world highlighting the impact one person can make to change the system from the ground up. One man's battle gains momentum and emboldens communities to raise their fists and smartphones in resistance, to seize control of their lands and protect the environment.

Anjali Nayar is a writer and director. She has a master’s degree from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, and a masters in Environmental Management from Oxford University. Anjali founded TIMBY (This Is My Backyard), a suite of digital tools that helps activists report, verify and tell stories safely. Her features include Gun Runners (2016) and Silas (2017). Hawa Essuman has worked in theatre and narrative storytelling for 15 years, her work ranging from TV commercials, television series and documentary. Her features include Soul Boy (2010), winner of the Dioraphte Award at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam, and Silas (2017).
