Who ensures the correct distribution of films: Giancarlo Nasi.

One of the basic parts for the success of a film is how to reach the largest number of rooms in the region and in the world. The talk with Giancarlo Nasi “How to deal with the distribution of a feature film: practical tools for a producer”, will serve to share the bases of advantageous experiences with the accredited ones.

Nasi is an Executive Producer and Intellectual Property Lawyer. He also provides financial, commercial and legal advice to audiovisual projects; He has worked inside the following productions: Jesus, Tierra Yerma, Cabezón, Natural Disasters, among others.

 

The responsible for guiding young people in the creation of an audiovisual piece: Marcel Beltrán.

After the great receptivity he had in the fifth edition of IFF Panama, cuban filmmaker Marcel Beltrán will again lead the workshop for filmmaking for adolescents this year as part of the educational and industry program of IFF Panama.

Beltran is responsible for audiovisual pieces such as Aged, Digna Guerra, Lessons in Process, The Missing of Kafka, among others.

 

Their videos play with the intrinsic properties of objects found express criticism in incisive and poetic way: Donna Conlon and Jonathan Harker.

They will give a talk in which they will explore his work in Videoarte and his way of working; Conlon and Harker have collaborated in exhibitions in Panama, Costa Rica, Madrid, New York, Boston, Miami, among other cities. In 2010 they received a grant from the Harpo Foundation to produce new collaborative works to be exhibited in Costa Rica.

Their collaborations are part of public collections including the Guggenheim Museum; Tate Modern, London; Kadist Art Foundation, Paris / San Francisco; And the Galician Center for Contemporary Art, Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

 

Post-production of a film begins in pre-production: Frankie Cueto, from Reaktor Post. 

The aspiring directors can participate in the talk "Elements to take into account during production for a more efficient post production process" with Frankie Cueto, President and Founder of Reaktor Post.

For Cueto, the process of postproduction must be improving, enhancing what has already been done and in order to achieve a process with the highest efficiency possible, we must start by talking about the post, in pre-production. Details that are not considered at the beginning, will be complicated at the end.

Cueto is responsible for films such as Reclaim, La Carta, Demented, The Vessel, Pending Accounts, Paper Vases, among others.
