Cine al aire libre: Free Outdoor Screening

 

After six days of intense activity, which included more than 140 projections in five venues, and an educational and industry program with more than 20 activities led by world-renowned filmmakers, IFF Panama 2017 ends this Wednesday, April 5th with the projection of the movie Woodpeckers, at the Balboa Theater. This movie had its premiere in Sundance. 

 

At 10:30 a.m., the closing press conference will be held at the American Trade Hall. They will accompany the directors of the festival, José María Cabral, director of dominican film Woodpeckers and its lead roles Jean Jean and Judith Rodríguez. 

 

At 6:30 p.m. the blue carpet of Copa Airlines, which traditionally precedes the closing Gala of the festival, will begin. In this ceremony the winning films from the awards given by the public will be announced:

  • Copa Airlines Audience Award for Best Latin American Fiction Film
  • Mastercard best film of Central America and the Caribbean
  • People's Choice Revista K Award for Best Documentary

 

In addition, the Inter-American Development Bank will announce and award the prize to the winner of the Primera Mirada industry section, of which it is a sponsor.
